What's it Like to be a Spartan?
At Manchester, you'll discover the true meaning of the NCAA Division III experience: Student-athletes are students and members of the campus community first.
A typical student-athlete at Manchester might be a biology-chemisty major, a member of the student senate and a volunteer at the local retirement community - all while being a standout on the playing field.
That doesn't mean Manchester student-athletes aren't in it to win it. MU sports teams have a long tradition of Spartan Pride and winning teams, and student-athletes know how to apply their passion for success to their studies and, eventually, to their careers and throughout their lives.
Being a Spartan student-athlete brings many rewards.
Become a Part of History
Student-athletes at Manchester immediately become a part of a storied history.
Our men's basketball team played in an NCAA National Championship,
and the baseball team has earned berths to the College World Series twice in the past 10 years.
We've earned national acclaim in cross country and wrestling, too. Spartans have claimed individual national championships on seven separate occasions, and a total of 70 Spartans have been named All-Americans. Manchester Spartans are deeply entrenched in a winning tradition.
Manchester honors its student-athletes too. Since its inception in 1994, 87 individuals and four teams have been inducted into the Manchester University Athletic Hall of Fame.
