Coach Tara Boone's teams continue the fall portion of their 2016-17 schedules Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 17 and 18.

Meet details: MU's women are among the field for Rose-Hulman's Invitational. Hulman Links Golf Course in Terre Haute, Ind., the site of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships, is the host course. Tee times begin at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday … The Spartans' men's team competes in Ohio Wesleyan University's Battle at the Brook, hosted by Plum Brook Country Club in Sandusky, Ohio. Tee times start at 12:30 p.m. each day.

Spartan Shorts: Women – Junior Katie Smith (Wabash, Ind.) was the team's low finisher for a second successive meet, placing 16th at Hanover College's meet Sept. 10. She opened the season with medalist honors at Anderson University's Invitational Sept. 3-4 … Fellow junior Kaitlin Powers (Indianapolis, Ind.) registered her seventh successive top 20 finish, dating back through 2015-16, ending tied for 19th. Powers started her fall campaign off with a third-place effort at AU … Boone's team takes another southern journey Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 24 and 25, when they compete in Transylvania University's Invitational in Lexington, Ky.

Men – Junior Jacob Hopkins (Kokomo, Ind.) and freshman Gian Dentis (Necochea, Argentina) helped lift the Spartans to a 652 36-hole total at Anderson University's event Sept. 9 and 10. The duo tied for sixth on the individual leaderboard with twin 160s on the Anderson Country Club course … Following the eastern journey to OWU this weekend, MU breaks from competition until the first weekend of October when they are part of the field for the Wabash College Invitational.
