MU On MIBASH: Broadcasting opportunity set

NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – Manchester University and the MIBASH Radio Network of the Official 101.9 FM and 105.9 FM the Bash Wednesday, June 14, announced a new partnership for coverage of the Spartans' 2017 home football games and a coach's show that runs 12 weeks beginning in late August.

"It's a tremendous opportunity to get a radio voice for athletics across the board," Adam Hohman, Manchester University Assistant Vice-President for Enrollment and Marketing, said. "When approached by the MIBASH radio group about this possibility, myself and Dan (Chudzynski, Manchester University Director of Marketing) felt this would also serve as a vehicle to have alumni and current and future students and their families hear about athletics successes on and off the field. (The MIBASH Network) has a very strong reputation in an area where so many of our students have and continue to come from."

"We couldn't be more excited for this and the potential of expanding in the future to offer more athletics' coverage (for Manchester University)," MIBASH Radio Network sports director Bob Stambazze said. "Wade (Weaver, MIBASH Radio Network owner) and I had been looking for a chance to work together with this institution that not only we but the entire coverage area holds in extremely high regard."

According to Stambazze, the coaches show segment featuring Spartans' athletics begins Wednesday, August 30, with the first football broadcast tentatively set for Saturday, September 23, as the Black and Gold welcome Mt. St. Joseph University to venerable Burt Field for the 2017 Heartland Collegiate Conference opener.
