Hollis, Gudeman lead strong effort at AU

ANDERSON, IND. – Manchester University finished up their afternoon and evening at Anderson University's Kardatzke Wellness Center and the Fred Wilt Invitational with six top five marks Saturday, Feb. 25.

Junior sprinter Harrison Hollis (Lebanon, Ind.) clocked a 23.25-second finish in the 200 meter dash, placing fourth in the collegiate section. He began his schedule with a 7.11-second time in the
60-meter dash for the top college time in the event and second-best overall.

Senior distance runner Alex Gudeman (Rochester, Ind.) was also in the top three with his upperclassman teammate. He raced to a season best 4:26.14 to end second collegiately and third overall in the mile.

Coach Brian Cashdollar's field event crew picked up the other three top fives with two going to underclassmen. Freshman De'Lon Barnes (Los Angeles, Calif.) jumped 38 feet, eight and three quarter inches in the triple jump to end fifth and his classmate Austin Roberts (Indianapolis, Ind.) hit 21 feet, three and a quarter inches to place third in the long jump. The remaining top five went to senior Drew Foster (Seymour, Ind.) who tossed the shot put 46 feet, six and a quarter inches for fifth.

Manchester University concludes the regular season Saturday, March 4, sending select individuals to the UW-Stevens Point last chance national qualifier.
