STEVENS POINT, WIS. – Senior distance runner Alex Gudeman (Rochester, Ind.) spotlighted individual efforts for Manchester University at UW-Stevens Point's last chance national qualifying meet Saturday, March 4.
Gudeman wound up in the top five of the 5000 meters. His time of 15:08.77 placed him fourth and also toppled former standout Michael Stocker's old school record of 15:13.28.
Freshman jumps specialist Austin Roberts (Indianapolis, Ind.) was next in line for Coach Brian Cashdollar's squad, ending just outside the first 10 in the long jump, as his 20-feet, half-inch leap put him 11th. Junior sprinter Harrison Hollis (Lebanon, Ind.) also found himself in a top 20 territory, clocking a 7.19-second time in the 60-meter dash prelims, good for 17th-fastest.
