Manchester University

Manchester University’s swimming and diving teams utilize the town of North Manchester's Strauss-Peabody Aquatic and Fitness Center for both practices and competitions. Located just three blocks from campus, the complex, which opened in November 2011, features a six lane 25-yard competition pool with a 1-meter diving board as well as a therapy pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, fitness center and a dance studio.

All three pools feature ultra-violet light systems which aid in disinfecting the water to reduce the amount of chlorine needed in the pool. The competition pool also features a modern gutter system that is level with the pool deck, dispersing the wave/wake created by swimmers as they approach the wall before it creates wave drag for the swimmers.  The venue features a Daktronics timing system, complete with touchpads and a scoreboard.
