Stauffer-Wolfe Arena

Located inside the Physical Exercise and Recreation Center (PERC), Stauffer-Wolfe Arena houses the Manchester University men's and women's basketball, volleyball, and wrestling teams. Additionally, the Manchester indoor track & field teams will utilize Stauffer-Wolfe Arena for practice during the winter months.

In 2021, the arena was repainted and the floor was refinished. Additionally, new Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference logo banners and drop down curtains were installed.

The arena is named for both Robert "Bob" Stauffer and Claude Wolfe, who were both longtime men's basketball coaches at Manchester and played integral roles in the history of Manchester Athletics.

Bob Stauffer coached the Spartans from 1921-1943 and won 223 games during his coaching career. Stauffer led Manchester to an Indiana State championship in 1926 and a pair of NAIA National Tournaments in 1938 & 1939.

Claude Wolfe, Manchester's all-time winningest coach, led Manchester from 1951 until 1976. Wolfe won 246 games during his coaching career and led the Black & Gold to three Hoosier College Conference championships.

Inside the arena also sits Stan Weller Court, named for Stan Weller who was inducted into the Manchester University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2007. A two-time all-conference performer, Weller ranks 18th all-time in scoring with 1,189 points. He also served as the Manchester tennis coach from 1970 until 1979.
