LEXINGTON, VA. – Sophomore 141-pounder Kalib Jackson (Angola, Ind.) turned in a pin to aid Manchester University as part of a 30-15 win over Washington and Lee University Saturday, Nov. 16.
Jackson turned the Generals' Andrew Donchez in 4:22. His win was part of a 24-point swing by the Black and Gold. The freshmen duo of Alan Mock (Peru, Ind.) and David Melendez (Benton Harbor, Mich.) took forfeits at 125 and 133, while sophomore 149-pounder Josh Juarez (South Bend, Ind.) picked up another forfeit win after Jackson's fall.
Freshman 197-pounder Brian Clark (Milford, Ind.) added another forfeit to cap MU's scoring. The Spartans nearly expanded the gap, as freshman 174-pounder Logan Floor (Sheridan, Ind.) was felled 7-6, and fellow freshman Dylan Lauffer (Farfield, Ohio) and senior heavyweight Jason Pedigo (Zionsville, Ind.) were topped by three points each in their matches.
MU wrapped up its Virginia trip with a 59-0 loss to NCAA Division I Virginia Tech University Sunday, Nov. 17. The Black and Gold continue their dual meet slate with a triangular at Baldwin-Wallace University in Berea, Ohio, Saturday, Nov. 23.
