Pete Willson Invitational next for Black and Gold

A trek to Wheaton College of Illinois is part of Manchester University's competition at the Pete Willson Inviational Friday and Saturday, Feb. 1 and 2.

They have five competition dates on February's calendar including three duals. … It's MU's first traditional tournament action since placing sixth at its own Spartan Mat Classic in early January. … Coach Matt Burlingame's probable line-up is as follows – 125 – Open; 133 – Kalib Jackson, fr., Rome City, Ind.; 141 - Josh Juarez, fr., South Bend, Ind.; 149 – Johnny Tullos, fr., White Pigeon, Mich.;  157 – Chuck Holmquest, sr., Plymouth, Ind.;  165 – Bryce Roberts, fr., Rochester, Ind.;  174 – Kurt Monix, sr., Crown Point, Ind.; 184 – Jacob Segraves, fr., Plymouth, Ind.;  197 – Ray Wajda, so., North Judson, Ind.;  285 – Jason Pedigo, jr., Zionsville, Ind. … Jackson and Holmquest remain one-two on the team wins' list with 12 and 11, respectively.  Monix can join the double-digits' win club with two victories this weekend as he takes an 8-4 record to Wheaton. The 174-pounder has been on a strong roll of late, winning four of his last five matches.

In-State Dual Battle: The Black and Gold take a southern trek to Wabash Thursday, Feb. 7.
