DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Manchester University women's golf team returned to the links this weekend, competing at the Defiance Spring Invitational at the Auglaize Golf Club in Ohio.

The Spartans were able to play one official round on Friday April 8 before weather altered the format for the second round on Saturday April 9. The Spartans shot 410 as a team and placed third out of four competing schools.

Sophomore Bella Carillo (Wabash, Ind./Wabash) led Manchester with a top 10 finish. Carillo placed ninth overall after shooting a round score of 97. Not far behind Carillo was first-year Colleen Caylor (Ossian, Ind./Norwell), who placed 11^th after shooting a 99 on Friday.

The Spartans are scheduled to compete one final time this spring when they travel to Earlham College next weekend.
