SHELBYVILLE, Ind. – The Manchester University women's cross country team ran to a third place finish at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 28.
The Panthers won the championship title with a score of 41 points, while Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology finished in second, scoring 68 points. The Black and Gold finished in third with 89 points.
Two Spartans placed in the top ten of Saturday's 6k. Senior Sydney Sluys (Columbus, Ind., Columbus North) was the first Spartan to cross the finish line with a time of 24:46.27, placing sixth overall.
Placing eighth was sophomore Rylee Stephany (LaPorte, Ind., LaPorte) with a time of 24:53.20.
Manchester cross country returns to action at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional hosted by John Carroll in Norton, Ohio on November 11th.
