RICHMOND, Ind. - The Manchester Spartans traveled to Richmond on Saturday, April 6th, to compete in a conference match against Earlham College.
 
Manchester came away with a 5-4 victory over the Quakers.
 
The no. 2 doubles team of Anthony Bau (North Judson, Ind., North Judson - San Pierre) and Andrew Schrier (Avon, Ind., Danville) defeated the Quaker duo of Rio Obe and Simon Hoover by a score of 8-3.
 
The no. 3 doubles team of Brennan Beachy (Goshen, Ind., Westview) and Blake Schroeder (Pierceton, Ind., Whitko) defeated the Quaker duo of Robert Lemon and Ayman Husain by a score of 8-2.
 
In single play, Omar Lemus (Portage, Ind., Portage) took the no. 3 match with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Rio Obe.
 
Henry Blakley (Zionsville, Ind., Zionsville) took the no. 5 match with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Robert Lemon.
 
Bau took the no. 6 match with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Aymain Husain.
 
Up next, both the Manchester men's and women's tennis teams will host Saint Francis on Wednesday, April 10th. Action will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the MU Tennis Courts.
