Coaching Bio Header - Biography 2

Dr. Kyle Watson completed his fourth year leading the Manchester men's and women's tennis programs in 2023-24.

In his fourth year at the helm of the programs, Watson coached four Spartan Athletes to All-HCAC honors. On the Men's side, Brennan Beachy and Henry Blakely both received Honorable mention for the HCAC. For the women, Natalie Kotlin and Evelyn Minton were named All-HCAC honorable mention as well.

In his third year running the Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, four Spartans earned All-HCAC honors. On the men's side, senior Austin Arnold earned First Team honors while first-year Brennan Beachy garnered Honorable Mention All-HCAC honors. On the women's side, senior Ella Knight was named All-HCAC First Team while sophomore Eva Bazzoni was earned Honorable Mentioned All-HCAC recognition. Two Spartans were named HCAC Athlets of the Week during the course of this season.

His second year at the helm of the programs saw four Spartans garner accolades from the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. On the men's side both Andrew Kibler and Austin Arnold earned Honorable Mention All-HCAC accolades. On the women's side, first-year Evelyn Minton was named First Team All-HCAC while fellow first-year Anna Hollingsworth picked up Honorable Mention All-HCAC recognition. Additionally, two Spartans garnered HCAC Athlete of the Week recognition during the course of the season.

In his first year at the helm of the tennis programs, Watson coached four Spartan athletes to All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference recognition. Both Isaac Miller and Karly Eichenauer were named First Team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honorees in 2021. Austin Arnold and Natalie Kotlin picked up Honorable Mention All-HCAC honors from the league office in 2021.

18 Spartans have earned Academic All-HCAC recognition during Watson's time leading the programs.

On campus, Dr. Watson serves as an assistant professor of chemistry. Watson graduated from Manchester in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. While as an undergrad at Manchester, Watson earned four varsity letters in tennis. He completed his Ph.D in organic and medicinal chemistry from Notre Dame in 2015.
