Tara Boone completed her 12th year as the head coach of the Manchester University women’s golf program in 2023-24..

In 2019, Boone guided the Spartans to a third-place finish at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships, marking the Black & Gold's best finish at the conference championships since 2008. Junior Taylor Erfman was named to the All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Team after finishing in a tie for seventh place.

During her 12 years as head coach, the Spartans have finished in the top five of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference six times.  Boone led the Spartans to four consecutive top five conference finishes from 2014-2017. Manchester has finished in the top four of the conference three times under Boone's tutelage (2015, 2017, 2019).

22 Spartans have gone on to earn Academic All-HCAC honors during Boone's tenure.

Boone also served as the head boys golf coach at local Manchester High School from 2011-2013.

Boone's playing career includes two years at both Indiana University and Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis (IUPUI) where she placed in the top 30 of the Big 10 championships as a freshman and among the top 15 of the Summit League tournament as a junior. Boone graduated from IUPUI in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in general studies. She graduated from Concordia University-Irvine with a master’s degree in coaching and athletic administration in 2019.
