Dakota Steele

Dakota Steele wiill be in his second season as an assistant cross country and track & field coach during the 2019-2020 academic year.

Steele works primarily with the Spartan throwers. During last year's outdoor season, he helped lead both the men's and women's team to a third-place Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference finish.

Through one contest of this year's indoor season, Steele helped two women athletes placed second and third in weight throw, one including a new personal record. A thrower on the men's side claimed victory in his first event of the season in shot put, and rose to the fifth highest mark in school history.

In a combined effort from 2019's indoor and outdoor track seasons, three Manchester throwers earned All-HCAC honors.  Manchester had the HCAC Champion in the women’s discus and shot put.  

Dakota graduated from Manchester University in 2018 with a bachelor of science degree.  Steele was a former captain of the Spartans’ throws group. He registered a combined four Top 20 efforts at indoor and outdoor Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference meets.
