Hannah Didion

Hannah Didion joined the Manchester University cross country and track and field coaching staffs in June 2023.

Didion graduated from Manchester University in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in educational studies and minors in psychology and gerontology. During her time as a Spartan, Didion was a four-year member of the cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field programs.

Didion helped lead the Manchester women's cross country teams to three Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) tiles and was a four-time All-HCAC Performer. As a first-year, Didion earned HCAC Freshman of the Year honors. Didion was also an HCAC Individual Champion and was an All-Great Lakes Region honoree in 2019.

Didion earned Freshman of the Year honors in both indoor and outdoor track and field by the HCAC. She also was a two-time HCAC Indoor Track MVP in 2018 and 2020 and was named HCAC Outdoor Track MVP as a sophomore. In 2018, Wappes placed 12th in the mile at the NCAA Division III National Championships. She was also a Four-time First Team All-HCAC Performer on the indoor circuit and a three-time First Team All-HCAC on the outdoor circuit. Wappes concluded a star-studded collegiate career by earning USTFCCCA All-Great Lakes Region for indoor track in 2020 before her senior season was shortened due to Covid-19.

Her name is well-represented across the record books in all three disciplines. Didion is among the top 10 all-time best in the 5k and 6k cross country rankings. She currently holds the indoor record in the 1 mile and was a member of the fastest distance medley relay team in school history. She also holds the outdoor record in the 1,500m. Didion also ranks in the top 10 in both indoor and outdoor track and field in the 300m, 800m, 3000m, 5000m, 4x400 relay, and distance medley relay.

Didion completed her master's degree in Organizational Leadership at Huntington University in 2022. While at Huntington, Didion competed on the outdoor track and field team in 2021. As a Forester, Didion finished 6th at the NAIA National Championship in the 1,500m and was a member of the 4x800m meter relay team that finished 2nd in the nation. Didion is among the top 10 all-time best in the 800m, 1,500m, 5000m, and is a member of the fastest 4x800m relay team in school history. She was also involved in the Huntington track and field programs as a graduate assistant, where she aided in recruiting and pacing the women's team. While a GA, several women qualified for the NAIA Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
