Sam Katon will enter his sixth year as an Assistant Track & Field Coach in 2024-25. Katon works primarily with the Manchester Throwers.

2014-2018 (Athlete, Davenport University, WHAC/GLIAC, NAIA/DII):
As a Collegiate Athlete, Katon was a standout thrower for the Panthers. Katon earned All-Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) recognition in the Men’s Weight and Hammer Throws, while qualifying for both the 2017 NAIA Indoor and Outdoor National Championships. Katon graduated from Davenport with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management in 2018. He earned his MBA from Davenport in 2020.
Katon is a native of Chelsea, Mich. He and his wife Jenna, reside in North Manchester.
