Cory Mitchell began his career as an assistant coach for the Manchester University Men’s Soccer program in 2025, bringing a strong foundation as a standout former Spartans student-athlete and a passion for developing players both on and off the field.
A four-year member of the Manchester men’s soccer team, Mitchell made a significant impact during his collegiate career. He totaled 22 goals and nine assists while earning multiple honors, including being named an HCAC “Athlete to Watch” in both 2022 and 2023. In his senior season, Mitchell secured First Team All-Conference recognition in 2023 and was named HCAC Offensive Player of the Week multiple times throughout his career.
Mitchell was also a key contributor to one of the most successful seasons in program history. The 2023-24 squad captured the regular season conference championship, posted the best record in school history, and went undefeated during the regular season. The team also set marks for most games without a loss and most shutouts in a season, while finishing with the second-fewest goals allowed in a single season in program history.
In addition to his success on the field, Mitchell excelled academically. He was named to the HCAC Academic Team in 2021, 2022, and 2023. He earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management with a minor in sales before continuing his education at Manchester. Mitchell was a member of the university’s first Master of Business Administration (MBA) cohort, further demonstrating his commitment to academic and professional growth.
As a coach, Mitchell is driven by a desire to continue learning and gaining experience each day. He is committed to creating meaningful opportunities for Manchester’s student-athletes and helping them reach their full potential both athletically and personally. Mitchell is dedicated to fostering a championship-level culture and ensuring that every player has a rewarding and impactful experience during their time at Manchester, as well as success beyond graduation.
