The Spartans, despite falling to 10-13 overall and 1-4 in league play, did get respectable numbers from several individuals in the 25-15, 25-13, 25-19 loss. Freshman outside hitter Sarah Pruden (Noblesville, Ind.) moved within nine kills of 300 for the season with nine kills, while fellow freshman outside/middle hitter Kelsie Thomas (Wabash, Ind.) added seven kills and six digs. Freshman setter Mikayla Munn (Elkhart, Ind.) turned in 23 assists, and freshman middle hitter Devin Clark (Madison, Ind.) produced two solo blocks for the net defense.

Manchester trailed only 12-11 in set one before the Engineers scored 13 of the final 17 points. Set two saw the visitors jump out to a 15-7 lead, while the third set was back and forth early. The Black and Gold held a late 17-16 edge until Rose-Hulman reeled off eight straight points to turn the tide.
