The Black and Gold, going to 6-5 on the season, rolled past Calumet College – St. Joseph in three sets and then battled Ohio Athletic Conference member Capital University to a five-set thriller in the nightcap. Pruden, who has been among MU's offensive leaders all season, didn't disappoint the crowd inside Stauffer-Wolfe Arena by hammering 19 kills as part of a sparkling .459 attack percentage against CCSJ and 26 kills in the clash with Capital. Munn turned in 71 assists to go with Pruden's 45 kills.

Fellow freshman outside/middle hitter Kelise Thomas (Wabash, Ind.) was just as tough against the Crusaders in the 27-25, 27-29, 21-25, 25-16, 12-15 loss. She put down 14 kills and compiled a .278 attack percentage. Defensive specialist Meika Kennedy (North Manchester, Ind.), another of Coach Kendra Marlowe's talented first-year class, added 41 digs in the two matches.

Manchester completes play in its home tournament with matches against Purdue-North Central at 11 a.m. and Wilmington College of Ohio at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15.
