Box Score 2 The two wins moved Coach Kendra Marlowe's Spartans to 8-5 on the season. MU ended the tournament with a 3-1 record, as Capital University of Ohio was crowned tourney champs with a 4-0 record.
MU was able to roll to both wins behind a strong .181 team attack percentage, 15 service aces, and 13 team blocks. Individually, freshman outside hitter Sarah Pruden (Noblesville, Ind.) moved within 21 kills of 200 for the season by recording 31 during the day. She was one of four Spartans in double figures at the net joining fellow freshmen Morgan Pavelka (Noblesville, Ind.)(17) and Kelsie Thomas (Wabash, Ind.) (14) and senior Jordan Redding (Fort Wayne, Ind.) (12). Pavelka was also key up front on defense (seven block assists) and from the back line (five service aces).
