The Spartans, evening their overall record at 2-2 and picking up their first Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference dual win of 2012, compiled straight-set decisions in four singles matches. Juniors Brandy Leeper (Bremen, Ind.), Amanda Keating (Lafayette, Ind.) and Abby Berry (Huntington, Ind.) joined freshman Megan Buckner (Muncie, Ind.) in recording 2-0 wins.

Coach Eric Christiansen's squad improved its season doubles' record to 9-3 with the three victories. Junior Kara Gilley (Plymouth, Ind.) and Leeper won at number one, while senior Alyssa Dibley (Elkhart, Ind.) and Buckner teamed up at number two, and Berry and Keating won at number three.

Manchester University continues its 2012-13 dual slate with a home conference meeting against Earlham Saturday, Sept. 22. First serve at the university's courts is 10 a.m.
