BLUFFTON, OHIO – Junior outside hitter Sarah Pruden (Noblesville, Ind.) compiled seven kills, while junior middle hitter Devin Clark (Madison, Ind.) ended with three kills and three blocks to lead Manchester University Wednesday, Oct. 22.

Pruden's seven kills led the category for the Spartans (5-20 overall, 1-6 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference), as sophomore outside hitter Courtney Chowning (Yorktown, Ind.) added six. Despite the totals from the trio, the host Beavers of Bluffton University of Ohio were on fire offensively, producing an ethereal .366 attack percentage to go with eight blocks as part of a 25-14, 25-15, 25-13 sweep.

Other top numbers for Coach Brnydon Paulsen's squad came from junior middle hitter Morgan Pavelka (Noblesville, Ind.) (three service aces); freshman defensive specialist Megan Robbins (Connersville, Ind.) (11 digs); and junior setter Mikayla Munn (Elkhart, Ind.) (20 digs).

The Spartans continue HCAC action Wednesday, Oct. 29. They take to the road for a clash with loop rival Anderson University. First serve is 7 p.m.

NOTE: Chowning moved closer to the 300-kill mark during the evening. She stands at 299.
