ANDERSON, IND. – Freshman Erin Cordill (Zionsville, Ind.) and sophomore Adriana Brown (Columbia City, Ind.) spotlighted Manchester University's dual at Anderson University Wednesday, Oct. 8.
Cordill picked up her team-leading sixth singles win of the year, upending the Ravens' Sylvia Schering 7-6, 6-1, while Brown moved to 4-2 on the season with a superbreaker victory over Katie Kirkman 6-4, 4-6, 10-5. The loss dropped the Spartans to 3-6 overall and 2-3 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, still a half-dual in front of Mt. St. Joseph University of Ohio for the sixth and final spot in the 2014 postseason tournament.
The Black and Gold look to end a five-dual skid when they host the Lions of MSJ in a critical conference showdown Friday, Oct. 10. First serve at MU's outdoor courts is 4 p.m.
