Box Score

NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – Freshman middle hitter Hannah Tevis (Royal Center, Ind.) drilled 10 kills, and senior outside hitter Sarah Pruden (Noblesville, Ind.) turned in an eight-kill, .286 attack percentage afternoon to spotlight Manchester University's match-up with Hanover College Saturday, Oct. 3.

Freshman outside hitter Farren Miller (Lebanon, Ind.) came off the bench for Coach Bryndon Paulsen's squad to end with a successful five-kill, .231-attack percentage, one-service ace day, too. However, even with those numbers added in with Pruden and Tevis' efforts, it wasn't enough overcome a red-hot Panthers' attack. Hanover hit better than .400, and middle hitter Courtney Crawford was tough to handle with 10 kills, an .833 attack percentage and nine blocks, seven of which were solo.

MU (6-11 overall, 1-3 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference) kept it close throughout the opening set, falling 25-21. From there, the visitors wrapped up their second 3-0 victory in as many days with 25-14, 25-19 wins.

The Black and Gold conclude a three-match home stand Wednesday, Oct. 7. League rival Anderson University comes to Stauffer-Wolfe Arena for a 7 p.m. first serve.
