NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – Manchester swimming honored Shelby Kell (Morristown, Ind./Eastern Hancock) and Christain Poole (Anderson, Ind./Anderson) on Saturday afternoon. The Spartan swimming teams hosted Hanover College in a dual meet in the Strauss-Peabody Aquatic Center. The Hanover women topped MU by a final score of 116-51. The Hanover men earned a 141-27 victory over the Spartans.
On the women's side, Taylor Grehl (Aurora, Ill./South Dearborn) earned an event win in the 100-yard breastroke with a time of 2:16.58. Katie Blystone (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) added another event win for the Black & Gold, winning the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:10.92.
For the men, Christain Poole earned an event win in the 100-yard freestyle with top time of 51.56. He also added a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.25.
The Spartans will be off next weekend before returning to the Strauss-Peabody Aquatic Center on Saturday February 1. The Spartans will host a quad meet against Anderson, Olivet, and Urbana.
