ANGOLA, Ind. – Host Trine University was able to keep its fall record unblemished as the Thunder topped the visiting Manchester Spartans 8-1 on Saturday afternoon at the Ryan Tennis Center.

Saturday's match marked the second meeting this week between the Spartans and the Thunder.

Senior Karly Eichenauer (North Manchester, Ind./Manchester) led the Black & Gold on Saturday afternoon, winning her no. 1 singles match by a 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) tally.

Trine improved to 5-0 this fall while the Spartans dropped to 0-3.

Manchester will host Bethel (Ind.) on Tuesday, October 6, at the MU Tennis Courts beginning at 4 pm.

The Thunder will have a pair of matches remaining on their fall calendar.
