DEFIANCE, Ohio – The host Defiance College Yellow Jackets swept the visiting Manchester University Spartans in a volleyball doubleheader on Wednesday, January 27.

Doubleheader Notes:

* Sophomore Halle Planck (Gas City, Ind./Mississinewa) led the Spartans (1-8, 0-2 HCAC) with 16 total kills on the night. Helaina Walters (Marion, Ind./Eastbrook) chipped in 12 kills over the two matches on Wednesday night. Joy Maze (Greenwood, Ind./Greenwood Community) reached double figures in kills with 11.
* Samantha Campbell (Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg) collected 6 block assists in the first match on Wednesday night.
* Over the night's two matches, Mackenzie Rooks (Columbus, Ind./Columbus North) totaled 22 digs while Rachel Ressler (Tipton, Ind./Tipton) added 19 digs.
* Freshman Jordan Holland (Osceola, Ind./Mishawaka) handed out 28 assists in the first match of the night.
* Mackenzie Benham paced the Yellow Jackets (2-2, 1-1 HCAC) with 25 kills over Wednesday's matches.
* DC also racked up 24 total service aces on the night.
