NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Manchester University men's soccer team put on a dominant performance against visiting Earlham College in Spartan Stadium on Saturday October 16.
The Spartans shutout the Quakers by a final score of 5-0.
Harley Kruschwitz (North Manchester, Ind./Manchester) opened the scoring for the Black & Gold in the 12
th minute. Following a corner kick by
Ruben Gonzalez (Sylvania, Ohio/Sylvania), Kruschwitz slipped behind the Quaker defense and was able to touch the ball into the back of the net.
Julian Keough (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) scored the second goal of the game in 20
th minute. Keough would assist on the third goal of the opening period after his pass into the box was headed in by
Cory Mitchell (Maitland, Fla./Winter Park) in the 32
nd minute.
In the second period, Kruschwitz would score his league-leading 13
th goal following a nice assist from Keough.
The Spartans rounded out the scoring in the 61
st minute when
Drew Gavit (Fishers, Ind./Fishers) scored for the first time this fall.
Cory Mitchell earned the assist on the Gavit goal.
Manchester outshot Earlham 15-4 on Saturday.

he Spartans moved to 6-7-1, 3-3 HCAC on the year. MU will be on the road on Wednesday October 20 at rival Anderson. Game time is schedule for 3 p.m.
