LEXINGTON, KY – The Manchester University volleyball traveled to Transylvania for a tri-match on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans fell to both Transylvania and Asbury.
The Pioneers took Saturday's first contest in straight sets following set scores of 25-17, 25-20, and 25-23.
In the second match of the day, the Asbury Eagles defeated the Spartans in four sets after set scores of 25-19, 18-25, 25-18, and 25-18.
On the day, senior
Samantha Campbell (Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg) led the Black and Gold with 20 kills, while
Helaina Walters (Marion, Ind./Eastbrook) chipped in 29 total digs.
Jordan Holland (Osceola, Ind./Mishawaka) and
Carly Ripberger (Tipton, Ind./Tipton) added 30 and 25 assists on the day.
The Black and Gold will be on the road again Wednesday October 27 as they travel to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Anderson University. Game time between the Spartans and Ravens is scheduled for 7 p.m.
