HANOVER, Ind. – The Manchester University men's soccer team dropped a narrow 1-0 decision on the road at HCAC-leading Hanover College on Saturday October 9.
The host Panthers scored the lone goal of the match in the 77
th minute. Hanover's Josh Hughes converted a penalty kick, scoring for the fourth time this season.
The Panthers led 19-7 in shots taken on Saturday afternoon. Of Manchester's seven shots in Saturday's match, two were placed on goal.
Matt Brown (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) and
Harley Kruschwitz (North Manchester, Ind./Manchester) both placed a shot on goal.
Cory Mitchell (Maitland, Fla./Winter Park) and
Chris Gerken (Huntertown, Ind./Carroll) both took two shots in Saturay's game.

Aidan Brunkow (Indianapolis, Ind./Heritage Christian) made five saves in between the posts on Saturday.
Hanover also led 10-3 in corner kicks taken.
The Panthers improved 8-3-1 overall with the win. Hanover sits a perfect 4-0-0 in HCAC play this season.
Manchester (5-6-1, 2-2-0 HCAC) will host Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Wednesday October 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Spartan Stadium.
