CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Manchester University volleyball team wrapped up play in the Mount St. Joseph Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
The Spartans dropped contests against Greenville, Anderson, and Mount St. Joseph before earning a four-set victory over Wilmington to end the weekend.
The Black & Gold topped the Quakers after set scores of 22-25, 25-17, 25-23, and 25-15.
Against Wilmington, Joy Maze (Greenwood, Ind./Greenwood Community) poured in 16 kills. Maze ended the weekend with a team-leading 41 kills. Sara Shultz (Churubsuco, Ind./East Noble) added 12 kills while Samantha Campbell (Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg) chipped in 11.
Helaina Walters (Marion, Ind./Eastbrook) added a team-high 21 digs against Wilmington. Jordan Holland (Osceola, Ind./Mishawaka) posted a team-high 28 assists.
The Spartans (4-5) will return action on Wednesday September 15 with a home, non-conference match against Trine University. Match time from Stauffer-Wolfe Arena is currently scheduled for 7 p.m.
