NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Manchester University women's soccer team fell to visiting Otterbein University in its season opener at Good Field on Sunday afternoon.
The Cardinals topped the Spartans by a final score of 5-0.
Delaney Earl let Otterbein with a pair of goals scored in the 8th and 63rd minutes. Bailey Zanella, Aubrey Zanella and Anjuli Anderson also scored goals for the Cardinals.
Manchester goalie Becca Colbert (Porter, Ind./Chesterton) made 10 saves.
The Spartans (0-1) will have a short turnaround before their next match as Huntington University will pay the Black & Gold a visit on Tuesday September 7. Kickoff from Good Field is scheduled for 4 p.m.
Otterbein (1-1) will host Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday September 8.
