OBERLIN, Ohio – The Manchester men's and women's cross country teams put up a solid performance in the Oberlin Inter Regional Rumble on Saturday, October 15
th.
Leading the way for the Black and Gold was senior
Enrique Salazar (Plymouth, Ind., Plymouth) who finished first place with a time of 24:58.0.
Connor Havens (LaPorte, Ind., LaPorte) followed in 25
th place with a time of 25:52.0. The men's team finished in 19
th place out of 32 teams overall.
Senior
Hannah Brubaker (Goshen, Ind., NorthWood) was the next Spartan to cross the tape, placing 57
th in the 6K with a time of 23:37.2.
Lauren Smith (Anderson, Ind., Lapel) followed with a time of 9:20.9, taking 128
th place. Overall, the women's cross country team placed 25
th out of the 32 teams.
The Spartans will race again on Saturday, October 19
th in the 2022 HCAC Championships in Bluffton, Ohio. Race time is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
