Spartans Shut Out Ravens in Final Home Match

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Manchester volleyball team hosted the Anderson Ravens tonight in their final home match of the 2022 season.  

Manchester took the match in three sets, shutting out Anderson. 

The Spartan offense dominated, having 40 kills over Anderson's 23.  Leading in kills was Joy Maze (Greenwood, Ind., Greenwood Community) with 12, followed by Halle Planck (Gas City, Ind., Mississinewa) with 10, and Avery Ball (Decatur, Ind., Belmont) with 7.  

To compliment the offense, defense had 63 digs and 9 blocks.  Leading in digs was Ball with 15, followed by Carly Ripberger (Tipton, Ind., Tipton) with 11, and Helaina Walters (Marion, Ind., Eastbrook) with 10. Carley Camp (Logansport, Ind., Logansport) and Reese Czarniecki (Chesterton, Ind., Chesterton) each had four blocks, and Planck chipped in with three. Ripberger led in assists with 16, followed by Jessica Tarr (Fort Wayne, Ind., Snider) with 15. 

Manchester will conclude their 2022 regular season play on Saturday, October 29th.  The Spartans will face the Mt. St. Joseph Lions. Tip-off for the Spartans is slated for 1pm in Cincinnati, Ohio.
