NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Manchester University women's tennis team was in action on Thursday afternoon in a non-conference match against NAIA Concordia University (Mich.).

The Cardinals and Spartans battled in a tightly contested match, with the visiting Cardinals edging the Black & Gold at the MU Tennis Courts by a final 6-3 tally.

In doubles action, the no. 3 pairing of Mallory Sands (Gas City, Ind./Mississinewa) and Avin Demaso (South Bend, Ind./Riley) defeated Payton Woodruff and Jada Guinn 8-3.

In singles play, Anna Hollingsworth (New Castle, Ind./Blue River Valley) earned a three-set victory over Concordia's Jadyn Hackmann 4-6, 6-3, 10-8 at the no. 4 position. Additionally, Bella Carillo (Wabash, Ind./Wabash) picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win at the no. 6 singles flight for Manchester.
