SANDUSKY, OHIO – Volleyball opens their 2022 season today at the Cedar Point Invitational. The 2-day event will feature four matches for the Spartans. On Friday Manchester will face Waynesburg University at 4 p.m. followed by an 8 p.m. match against Theil College. The following day will feature two more matches, the first being against Eastern Mennonite University with a 10 a.m. start time followed by a 2 p.m. match against Geneva College.  

The Spartans return 13 players from the 2021 roster, and have some depth with the addition of 9 freshmen. Among the returners Halle Planck (Gas City, Ind. / Mississinewa), Helaina Walters (Marion, Ind. / Eastbrook), and Erika Kramer (Greensburg, Ind. / North Decatur) look to improve upon their HCAC Honorable Mention recognition. The Spartans also return Carley Camp (Lognsport Ind. Logansport) who was named to the HCAC All-Freshman Team.
