RICHMOND, Ind. - The Manchester men's soccer team fought to a 1-1 draw with
Earlham College in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (
HCAC) action on Saturday, October 14.
The Spartans and Quakers took 12 total shots in the first 45 minutes of action on Saturday' contest, but neither team was able to find the back of the net, resulting in a 0-0 tie at the half.
Cory Mitchell (Maitland, Fla., Winter Park) scored his ninth goal of the season in the 50th minute to put the Black and Gold on top 1-0.
Mlangalire Kamungo (Grand Rapids, Mich., East Kentwood) assisted on Mitchell's goal.
Andre
Moriel netted a goal in the 73rd minute for the Quakers of action to tie the score at 1-1.
As a team, Manchester
outshot Earlham 15-9, with six shots landing in goal.
Harley Kruschwitz (North Manchester, Ind., Manchester) led the Black and Gold with nine shots on the afternoon.
Krushwitz landed three shots on goal, while
Mitchell added two shots on the goal for MU.
Manchester men's soccer will travel to Anderson University to face the rival Ravens in
HCAC action on Wednesday, October 18. Game time is slated for 7:00 p.m.
