Manchester Baseball Posts 4-1 Mark Over Myrtle Beach Trip to Begin 2023 Season

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C - The Manchester University softball team concluded a strong four days of play in Myrtle Beach on Tuesday, February 28. 

Returning to Myrtle Beach for the first time in four years, the Black & Gold collected four victories in four days. Manchester ended its trip with three straight wins.

The Spartans opened play against York College of Pennsylvania on February 25, defeating the opposing Spartans 12-10 in 9 innings. 
York would come back to win in day two of Manchester's Myrtle Beach trip, edging out the Spartans 3-2 on Sunday, February 26. 

Manchester bounced back on Monday, February 27 with a pair of victories over Eastern University 4-2 and Neumann University 8-5.

The Black and Gold concluded their trip with a 12-4 win over Cabrini University on Tuesday, February 28. 

The Spartans (4-1) will return to Indiana this weekend and are scheduled to play at DePauw University in a three-game series at Bishop Chatard High School in Indianapolis, Ind. First pitch on Saturday is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. Game time for Sunday is also scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
