NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Manchester men's tennis team hosted Rose-Hulman at the MU Tennis Courts on Sunday, April 2. The Spartans fell 9-0 to the Fightin' Engineers. 
 
In doubles play, Austin Arnold (Coatesville, Ind., South Putnam) and Reece Romer (LaGrange, Ind., Lakeland) fell to their opponents 8-3 at the no. 1 spot. At no. 2, Brennan Beachy (Goshen, Ind., Westview) and Braydon Hoggatt (Union City, Ind., Union City) were defeated by Grant Paradowski and Andrew Leonard 8-1. The no. 3 position fell to Rose-Hulman by the same score, 8-1.
 
The Spartans were swept in singles action as well. At no. 1 singles, Arnold fell 7-5, 6-0. Following at the no. 2 flight, Romer fell to his opponent 6-0, 6-1. Next, Beachy was defeated by a score of 6-0, 6-1. Hoggatt fell to Renato Prado 6-0, 6-0 at no. 4 singles. Omar Lemus (Portage, Ind., Portage) and Ryan Nastav (Lebanon, Ind., Lebanon) both fell 6-0. 6-0 at no. 5 and no. 6 singles, respectively.
 
The Spartans will next travel to Hanover College to take on the Panthers on Saturday, April 8 at 12:00 p.m.
