Hunter Reed and Trevor Young Named to Manchester Wrestling Coaching Staff

Hardman Announces Updates to Manchester Wrestling Coaching Staff

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - Manchester University Director of Wrestling Josh Hardman has announced the addition of two new members to the wrestling coaching staff. 

Hunter Reed was named Associate Head Coach for Men's Wrestling in May.

Reed arrived in North Manchester after spending the past five years at the University of Findlay earning a bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance and a Master of Business Administration. During his time at Findlay, Reed was a four-year starter on the men's wrestling team, where he earned All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference First Team, Second Team, and Honorable Mention honors.

A 2023 graduate of the University of Findlay, Reed was a four-year starter for the Roughnecks at 165 pounds. An All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference and Findlay Open champion, Reed also wrestled at Columbia City High School in Columbia City, Ind., where he was a two-time Indiana state qualifier.

Trevor Young joined the Manchester University wrestling staff as Associate Head Coach for Women's Wrestling in July.

Young arrived in North Manchester after serving as assistant coach at Western High School for eight years, assistant coach at Marion High School for two years, and coach for the Western Wrestling Club for eight years. During his time at both Western High School and Marion High School, Young coached eight Indiana State Place winners, 16 State qualifiers, 5 Semi-State Champions, 68 Semi-State Qualifiers, 22 Regional Champions, 86 Regional Qualifiers, and 37 Sectional Champions. He also coached multiple Indiana State Wrestling Association (ISWA) Freestyle and Greco State Champions and Place winners.

Young is a USA Wrestling Copper and Bronze Certified Coach. He also earned a Performance Enhancement Specialization from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and is a Training for Warriors Certified Instructor.

Young earned a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Indianapolis in 2010.
