NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Manchester University volleyball team swept the Belles of Saint Mary's College 3-0 on Tuesday, September 19.
As a team, the Black and Gold hit .231 during Tuesday's match with 41 kills to 18 errors.
The Spartans were led by
Joy Maze (Greenwood, Ind., Greenwood Community) and
Jessica Tarr (Fort Wayne, Ind., Snider). Maze tallied 10 kills and
Tarr had 9 kills on the night.
Avery Ball (Decatur, Ind., Belmont) added 7 kills and 10 digs.
Carley Camp (Logansport, Ind., Logansport) and
Lily Lichtenbarger (South Bend, Ind., New Prairie) each collected four total blocks during Tuesday's match.
First-year setter
Emma Tone (Fort Wayne, Ind., Bishop Dwenger) had a team high 18 assists and 10 digs while fellow first-year
Mariah Forbes (Breman, Ind., Penn) added 14 assists.
Up next, the Spartans will host the Manchester
Invitational on Friday and Saturday in Stauffer-Wolfe Arena. The Black and Gold play Friday night at 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. The Spartans will then play two matches on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
