NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Manchester football team welcomed the North Park Vikings to Spartan Stadium on Saturday, September 2nd.

The Vikings racked up 381 yards of total offense while holding the Black & Gold to 206 yards of offense en route to a 27-0 victory.
 
Leading the offense was Dante Chaney (Arlington, Tx., Mansfield Legacy) who completed 7 passes for 90 yards. Duriel Moss Jr. (Homestead, Fla., Christopher Columbus) had 4 catches for 48 yards while Lavar Lesure (Mt. Vernon, Ill., Wheeler (Ga.)) added 2 receptions for 36 yards. Chaney also contributed to the running game with 12 carries for 34 yards. Jalen Love (Avon, Ind., Avon) had 16 carries for 31 yards. Josiah Ansorena-Smith (Ludowici, Ga., Long County) added 5 carries for 35 yards.
 
Defensively, Jamaal Hubbard (Russelville, Ala., Russelville) led the team with 7 solo tackles, 14 total tackles, and 2 tackles for loss. Javion Davis (Marion, Ind., Marion) and Dave Paul (Dearborn, Mich., Annapolis) both had 4 solo tackles. Davis also had 1 sack on the night.
 
The Spartans will look to get into the win column next Saturday, September 9th against the Alma College Scots. Kick-off is set for 4:00 p.m. at Spartan Stadium.
