North Manchester, Ind. - The Manchester University Women's Wrestling team hosted their first ever Dual meet, against Otterbein University this past Friday.

The Spartans would come out on top, winning 31-18.

Manchester University proudly hosted the first ever Manchester Women's dual in front of a near capacity crowd on Friday, December 6. The Spartans came away victorious after winning six out of the ten match ups. Kyleigh Honaker (Avilla, Ind., East Noble) marked the first win as the #19 ranked wrestler in the 103 lb division competed at 110 and won via pin fall in front of an electric crowd. Two matches later the Spartans added another win via pin fall this time coming from the 124 pound division in Paola Villarruel (Griffith, Ind., Griffith). 

Manchester would take the 138, 145, 160, and 180 pound divisions via no contest and would secure their first victory on home soil.

The Spartans next event will come on December 15th where they will travel to Hiram, OH to compete in the Hiram Terrier Round Robin.
