FRANKLIN, Ind. - The Manchester women's basketball team fell on the road against Franklin College on Wednesday, February 8. The Grizzlies won Wednesday's contest by a final score of 80-57.

Manchester jumped out to a 5-4 lead in the opening minutes of the first quarter. Franklin battled back going on an 18-point scoring drive to make the game 22-6 with 2:17 left in the first. The Grizzlies would go on to lead 43-24 at the half.

Franklin's strong offensive attack continued into the second half as the Grizzlies maintained a double-digit lead through the remainder of Wednesday's game en route to an 80-57 victory. With the win, Franklin improved to 14-8 overall and 9-6 in conference play. Manchester fell to 6-16,3-12 HCAC.

Manchester was led by
Abigail Rosenkrans (Pendleton, Ind., Pendleton Heights) with 12 points, four rebounds, and two steals.
Maddi Smith (Kewanna, Ind., Caston) finished the night with 10 rebounds, eight points, and two steals.
Hailee Kline (Huntington, Ind., Blackhawk Christian) and
Madison Stamm (Fortville, Ind., Anderson Prep) each finished the game with six points.Â
The Spartans will travel to Transylvania University on Saturday, February 10. Manchester will tip-off against the Pioneers at 1:00 p.m. in Lexington, Ky.
