Albion, Mich. - The Manchester Volleyball team traveled to Albion, Mich. to compete in the Albion Invitational where they would take on Albion College and Baldwin Wallace University.
The Black & Gold would win both matches on Saturday.
Manchester 3, Albion 0
Manchester would go on to dominate the Britons winning 3-0 thanks to a group effort of 43 kills and 41 set assists. On defense, Manchester would record 16 blocks and have three separate players record double digit digs. The Spartans were feeling it behind the service line, serving up 10 aces en route to their first victory of the day.Â

In their second match of the day, the Spartans offense picked up where it left off with 59 kills with 40 of those coming from
Joy Maze (Greenwood, Ind., Greenwood Community) and
Avery Ball (Decatur, Ind., Belmont).
Emma Tone (Fort Wayne, Ind., Bishop Dwenger) got her hands dirty recording 21 set assists and nine digs while
Tiffany Watterson (Elkhart, Ind., Elkhart) and
Alena Naddaf (New Carlisle, Ind., New Prairie) each recorded three service aces.
The Spartans
(8-6) will travel to Notre Dame, Ind. on Sep. 24 to take on the Saint Mary's Belles in a rematch from the Manchester Invitational.Â
