Olivet, MI - The Spartans Volleyball team traveled to Olivet, MI to take on The University of Olivet Comets in a non-conference matchup.

The Spartans fell 2 sets to 3, 25-23, 19-25, 25-15, 14-25, and 14-16

The Spartans offensive efforts were lead by Avery Ball (Decatur, Ind., Belmont) who recorded 16 kills and Joy Maze (Greenwood, Ind., Greenwood Community) who recorded 14 kills. These kills came at the help of Sophomore Morgan Howard (South Whitley, Ind., Whitko) who recorded 45 set assists over the 5 games. 

On a defensive side, Lily Lichtenbarger (South Bend, Ind., New Prairie) was denying at the net, totaling 7 blocks including one solo, and laying the groundwork was Ball, Maze, and Tiffany Watterson (Elkhart, Ind., Elkhart) who recorded 49 digs as a trio.

The Spartans look to bounce back as they host Kalamazoo College and Wilmington College on Sep 7 in Stauffer-Wolfe Arena.
