Fort Wayne, Ind. - The Manchester University Women's Wrestling team competed at the Warrior Open hosted by Indiana Tech this past Saturday.

Manchester placed five in five different divisions on Saturday including a couple of top 3 finishes.

At 103 Kyleigh Honaker (Avilla, Ind., East Noble) finished 2nd overall, Honaker finished the day 3-1 with her only loss coming in the championship match.

At 110 Jackeline Shackleford (Fort Wayne, Ind,, North Side) finished in 6th place and finished 2-2 on the day.

At 124 Paola Villarruel (Griffith, Ind., Griffith) finished 3rd overall, going 5-1 on the day her only loss came in the first round. Villarruel would finish off winning five in a row and taking 3rd place.

At 145 Rilee Swaim (Fulton, MO, Fulton) finished in 4th overall, going 3-2 on the day with three pin fall victories.

At 180 Selene Jimenez (East Chicago, Ind., East Chicago Central) placed 8th after defeating Unnatched Stine by decision in the 2nd round.

The Spartans will compete again on Februrary 7 at the DIII Inviatational in Illinois.
