North Manchester, Ind. - Manchester Women's Soccer wrapped up its home regular season on Saturday afternoon at Good Field, falling 6–0 to Mount St. Joseph in HCAC play.
The Lions' offense struck early and often, putting five goals on the board in the opening half to take control. Despite the lopsided result, Manchester's goalkeepers turned in busy afternoons.
Reagan Claus made seven saves in the first half before
Vicki Moorman came on after the break and added five more stops to keep the Spartans competitive through the second period. Offensively, Manchester found limited opportunities but pushed forward more after halftime, recording all three of its shots — two of which were on goal — in the second frame.
Lily DeTray and
Imari Francis were responsible for Manchester's best looks on net.
Defensively,
Delaney Kelly and
Sian Rogers anchored the back line, each playing the full 90 minutes and helping stabilize play after the first-half surge from the Lions.
Erin Grant and
Layla Huneck added steady minutes in the midfield, while
Anna Martinez and
Mireya Guerrero provided support in the defensive third.
With the result, Manchester closes its season at 1–14–1 overall and 0–8 in conference play, showing resilience throughout a challenging campaign marked by growth and experience for its young roster.
