North Manchester, Ind. - Manchester came up just short in a competitive matchup against Anderson, falling 26–20 at Spartan Stadium.
The Spartans moved the ball well throughout the afternoon and produced several explosive plays, finishing with 430 yards of total offense, but turnovers and missed red-zone chances proved costly in the end.
Manchester struck first early in the second quarter with a steady, methodical 81-yard scoring drive capped by a 3-yard run from James Lewis. The Spartans later created multiple opportunities to extend their lead but came away empty after a turnover on downs and a missed short field goal, allowing Anderson to stay within reach heading into halftime.
After Anderson put together a pair of third-quarter touchdowns, Manchester responded with one of its biggest plays of the season. Quarterback Kaleb Hall connected with Levarian Campbell on a 71-yard touchdown strike, swinging momentum back toward the Spartans and cutting the deficit to six. Campbell and fellow receiver Zalin Ingram both delivered big games downfield, combining for over 200 yards receiving.
Manchester continued to battle in the fourth quarter. Anderson pushed the margin to 26–13, but the Spartans answered again with a quick drive capped by a short touchdown pass from Hall to Ingram, bringing the game back within one score with just over a minute left. Although the defense produced several timely stops throughout the day, including a handful of tackles for loss and key pressure up front, Manchester could not complete a final drive to tie the game.
Despite the loss, the Spartans showed improved explosiveness on offense, resilience after turnovers, and strong individual performances on both sides of the ball to end the season.
